    Robbery: Ruby Tuesday

On 12/23/2015, at approximately 2112, officers from this department responded to a second robbery on Foxcroft Ave. This incident occurred at the Ruby Tuesday restaurant on South Foxcroft Ave..

A black male wearing a dark colored jacket or hoodie entered the restaurant and approached the bartender. He displayed a dark in color handgun and demanded money. Another employee went to the back of the store and got the on duty manager. She came out and opened the bar drawer. They turned over the money and the male left in the direction of the US Cellular store.

The male was described as being in his late thirties to early forties. He was reportedly wearing some type of safety glasses and had the hood pulled over his face and drawn tightly, exposing little of his face. It is unknown at this time if this is the same male as the earlier robbery at Sophia’s, however we are currently looking into that.

In both robberies the male received a little more than $200 (approximately). K-9 tracks were conducted in both robberies, but did not locate a suspect.

As of the time of this press release we were unable to access the video for Ruby Tuesday for review. However we hope to have that footage within the next few days. These cases are actively under investigation. Again, anyone with any information on either of these cases is urged to contact the MPD or the Berkeley county Crime solvers.
