    Three Arrested in Reverse Prostitution Investigation

    On the evening of March 3, 2016, officers from the Martinsburg Police Department conducted a reverse prostitution investigation in which a female confidential informant was utilized and subjects were being targeted as persons known to pick up prostitutes in the municipal limits of Martinsburg, WV.

    During these investigations, three males were arrested and charged with Solicitation of a Prostitute under West Virginia state code chapter 61-8-5b. They were all processed at the Martinsburg Police Department and then transported to the Eastern Regional Jail to await further court action.

    Each of the males, separately, picked up the female CI in his vehicle. Officers were monitoring this activity visually and also with recording equipment. Each male agreed to pay the female for sexual favors. Once an agreement was made in each instance, the male was pulled over by a marked patrol unit and arrested.
