    Drugs & Cash Seized After Vehicle Crash

    On June 5th, 2016, at approximately 2:40am Officer T. Gibbons and Officer Smith responded to the 300 block of Woodbury Avenue for a report of a vehicle crash. Upon their arrival, Officer Gibbons made contact with the driver of a white Dodge Charger, Mr. Anthony Gonzalez.

    Mr. Gonzalez was found to be driving revoked for DUI and was placed under arrest. Upon searching Mr. Gonzalez, Smith found a .40 caliber handgun in his waistband, a plastic bag containing 8.5 grams marijuana in his waistband, a plastic bag containing $550.00 in his right pocket, and $923.00 loose in the same pocket. The vehicles doors were open due to the crash and Gibbons observed a mason jar on the passenger side floorboard with marijuana in it. The car was searched, and Gibbons found the jar contained 82.66 grams marijuana, and a cellophane bag containing .2 grams of heroin. In the center console Gibbons found 4.44 grams of marijuana and 109 Xanax pills in a cellophane bag.

    Mr. Gonzalez was taken to station and charged through Berkeley County Magistrate Court with:

    Possession with intent to deliver, Xanax
    Possession with intent to deliver, Marijuana
    Possession of CDS, heroin
    Driving revoked for DUI

    Total Cash Seized: $1473.00
    Total Drugs Seized: 109 Xanax tablets, .2 grams heroin, 100.38 grams marijuana
