    MPD ANNOUNCES HIRING OF FOUR NEW POLICE OFFICERS

    The Martinsburg Police Department is proud to announce the hiring of four new Police Officers and their official swearing in in front of the Martinsburg City Council on November 12th 2020

    The new officers, Patrolman Daniel Smith, Patrolman Eric Milburn, Patrolman Coby Engle, Patrolman Jeremy Pevahouse are tentatively slated to attend the next West Virginia State Police Basic Academy located in Institute WV.

    These officers are currently assigned to a Field Training Officer and are out protecting and serving our community and further enhancing the Martinsburg Police Department’s community policing philosophy while conducting official police duties within our municipality.

    Chief George B. Swartwood advised “I’m extremely proud of our new additional officers and I am confident that they will perform their duties with the utmost professionalism, compassion, fairness and integrity while serving the citizenry of our great municipality. I wish them all a long and successful and rewarding career with the Martinsburg Police Department.”
